“Does anybody know what the first command is in the Bible?” he asked.
That morning, my brother in Christ, Matt, gave the sermon at church. Matt is 26 years old, currently attending two colleges and working a part time job in order to earn degrees in ministry and counseling. It was the first sermon he had ever given at his home church.
There was an unsure murmur from the congregation, and Matt read from Genesis 1:27-28.
“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
“And people wonder why we have issues with sex.” Matt said, “So, I’m going to talk about sex today.”
You need to hear this.
